News: Baby Found Alive in Eunos Crescent

Retiree saves child in Eunos rooftop garden

THE newborn baby boy was not only found with a trash bag twisted like a rope around his neck, but he had also been - for good measure - buried in a rooftop garden of a Eunos Crescent block.

But the person or persons who did this did not count on the infant's will to live - and to cry.

Retiree Tay Kim Sia, 60, looking for the source of a mewing noise, unearthed the baby from his shallow grave in the garden atop Block 31A, a multi-storey carpark block, on Monday.

The child, his mouth stuffed with mud and dried leaves and his umbilical cord still attached, has since been taken to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

The police are still trying to track down his next of kin.

Mr Tay said he was smoking at the sixth-floor garden at around 2pm when he heard soft mews

------> > > > how could this ever happen to innocent lives? some cannot wait to get rid while others tried very hard to get... the baby is really lucky to have survived the ordeal

Updates updates... of my hectic life recently

Hubby changed a new job and works 7 days a week now. He will only reach home after 6.

I handle the kids alone on weekends and I am on the verge of breaking down soon... real soon! On Saturdays where I have to work, I have to rush back home from work to pick Charlotte up from childcare then rush her to ballet lessons. After ballet we have to lunch out then pick up Charmaine.

I am lucky that I have a great nanny who dun mind working extra hours and I am lucky that my hubby send the kids in the morning. I really cannot imagine if I have to do it myself.

I am on the verge of giving up expressing... God please give me the power to continue!

I love Charmaine's big belly...
since she was newborn

She tries to communicate with me in baby language nowadays

Every morning we will try to avoid her -
she will peep at us from her playpen
and once she sees us she will want us to carry her
when we walk away, she cries out loud

I love Charmaine SO much!

Charmaine is 6 months old

Charmaine is 6 months old since 1 April.

She is 7.5kg
She crawls backwards
She sits by herself for a short while
She loves to be carried standing up
She loves to bite on anything that she can get her hands on
She loves to blubber saliva all over us
She had tried solids - apples, pears, sweet potatoes, cereals, carrots, rice, pumpkin, fish, biscuits

She is super smiley when she is not crying

She looks like a boy even when she wears total pink

She is now wearing 9 mths to 1 year old clothes

She has high forehead hence blocked out the lights shining onto her eyes

Charlotte always wanted me to include her in the photos of meimei

Romper from auntie michelle...
Charmaine: i am a tiger not piggy :)
